SARASOTA, Fla. (January 31, 2022) – The REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) has released the 2022 scholarship applications for eligible students in the 2022-2023 academic year, offered through the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation. Every year, the Association awards a minimum of six scholarships in the amount of $2,000 to deserving students in the Sarasota and Manatee area.

Since 2014, RASM has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarship funding, supporting tuition, textbooks, and other course-related fees. The awarded scholarships are split between applicants whose parents or grandparents are REALTOR® members of RASM and applicants who are from Sarasota and Manatee counties.

The application is open and available to local high school seniors who will be attending an undergraduate college or university; any student currently enrolled in an undergraduate college or university; or any student pursuing a graduate degree. There are no limitations as to the location of the college or university attended, as long as the applicant indicates that they are from the two-county area.

Students must complete the following to be eligible:

  • Complete the online application
  • Provide answers to the two essay questions
  • Upload recent school transcripts
  • Provide two reference letters
  • Upload the acceptance letter from one or more colleges where the student plans to attend in 2022

Scholarship awards will be “based solely on the merits of the selection criteria as set by the Scholarship Committee.” Criteria to be considered include, but aren’t limited to, academic achievements, financial need, and contributions to school and community.

All application materials are due by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022. The 2022 applications are available at www.MyRASM.com/scholarships. For more information about the scholarship committee, application and eligibility, please contact Gina McCarthy at gina@myrasm.com or (941) 952-3405.
