RASM REALTORS® in need can apply for financial assistance through the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation (RRCF).

In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, our thoughts are with everyone who was greatly impacted by the storm. Housing is synonymous with the work of REALTORS®. We work to ensure that everyone has a roof over their heads; providing the shelter and safety we need to live our daily lives. As we recover and rebuild, we reflect on this community of 9,000 REALTORS® and Business Partners and the role we play in providing a place to call “home.”

After Ian left us a week ago, members of the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) quickly got to work. Several offices have been collecting donations and/or raising funds to support those who need it. Others have been out in the community to help clean up debris and feed their neighbors. And although it pains me to know that so many are still suffering, I’m filled with pride to be part of this community’s resilience. NAR’s slogan, That’s Who We R®, means so much more at a time like this.

RASM has served this region for 100 years. During that time, we have weathered many storms; and we knew we could one day be facing a storm that could disrupt the lives of many, including our own. When we started the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation (RRCF) in 2020, we made a commitment to not only support our non-profit community, but also our REALTOR® family.

If you or someone you know is a member of RASM and has faced devastation as a result of Hurricane Ian, you can fill out this hurricane-assistance request form as soon as possible so that we can begin to assess how our Foundation can financially support you.

If you are looking for ways to give back, please consider donating to our RRCF Hurricane Relief Fund. Part of the money raised will not only help our members but also REALTORS® further south of us and other community non-profits in need.
