RASM Ranks #45 for Local Associations in the U.S.

The REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee is ranked #45 under “Local Associations” in the recently released 2019 Swanepoel Mega 1000 list. The Swanepoel Trends Report has been released annually for the past 13 years by the California-based real estate consulting firm T3 Sixty. And new in 2019, the Mega 1000 list expanded rankings to also include MLS and REALTOR® Association rankings. Ranked by member count as of December 31, 2018, RASM lands at #45 for Local Associations in the U.S. and #7 in Florida with 6,513 REALTOR® members.

According to a release from T3 Sixty, close to 600 MLS's, 50 state REALTOR® associations and 1,100 local associations were surveyed and/or researched. In the local association category, 19% of the 1,103 local associations account for approximately 80% of the total membership. Ranking #7 in Florida, the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee uses its strength in numbers to provide quality programs and advocate for private property rights in the two-county area, while also fostering a membership experience unique to smaller local associations.

In January 2015, the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee was formed with a merger of the Sarasota Association of REALTORS® and the Manatee Association of REALTORS®. Almost 5 years later, RASM has grown to serve 7,000 REALTOR® members and over 350 Business Partner members. The Association currently has 14 full-time staff members, one office location in Sarasota, and a temporary service center in Manatee County that will be open until the construction of the new Bradenton office is complete.
