New Member Requirements
New Member Orientation
The New Member Orientation program is a requirement for membership and must be completed within 3 months of submitting the membership application to the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee.
All REALTOR® applicants are required to complete the following courses. You are classified as a provisional member until the Association has approved your membership and you have completed:
- New Member Orientation: Overview of your membership in three Associations: REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee, Florida REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
- New Member Code of Ethics: The Code of Ethics course is a requirement for all REALTOR® members. Your adherence to the Code signifies your commitment to serve your clients in an ethical and professional manner. After this initial course, members will be required to complete Code of Ethics training every three years to maintain REALTOR® membership.
Classes are offered monthly and must be completed in-person to fulfill your membership requirements. You can find the next orientation class in your My RASM Portal.
Stellar MLS Requirements
MLS subscribers are required to complete MLS BASIC and MLS COMPLIANCE 101 for Stellar membership. Both courses must be taken in the first 60 days of joining Stellar MLS. If courses are not completed in the 60-day timeframe, you will lose access to MLS. These classes are available online or in-person at RASM or any Association affiliated with Stellar MLS. Register for classes in the Stellar University portal. Elective classes, like Adding & Modifying Listings or iMapp are available to help you become more proficient at using Matrix and MLS.

Lockbox (Supra) Keys:
Members that need a Supra eKey are required to fill out a Lockbox (Supra) Agreement. Supra eKey service requires a $50 activation fee and $15.56 per month subscription. Please download the “Supra Ekey” app in the Apple App Store or in Android Google Play Store before contacting RASM to activate your key. Once the app is downloaded, the screen will say “Activate/Demo.” BUT, don’t do anything until one of our Supra Associates can get you set up.
