As REALTORS®, we believe everyone should have a safe place to call home and a community to be proud of. To support this mission, the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee partners with area organizations in need to provide volunteers and other support.
The Community Outreach Committee recently met to review Community Partner Applications and select projects to work on throughout 2019. After approval from the Board of Directors, the committee is proud to announce this year’s partners:
Heroes Welcome Home
The mission of Heroes Welcome Home is to honor the sacrifice of Veterans and their families, by lending a hand up in removing financial obstacles and supporting other needs to promote homeownership and stable housing. RASM members will be invited to volunteer at their Heroes Party on Saturday, May 18 and at their Golf Tournament on November 9.
Salvation Army Bradenton
A true staple of The Salvation Army is their annual Kettle Bell Campaign. In 2018, the organization raised more than $200,000 during the campaign to support their local shelters and social services programs. RASM is proud to support their mission during the annual Kettle Bell Campaign later this year.
Manatee Children’s Services
Their mission is to advocate for and provide the resources, skills, and shelter to alleviate abuse through prevention and intervention for all children and their families. Once again, RASM volunteers will support 70 children by granting their wishes during the MCS Holiday Project in December.
Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC)
SPARCC’s mission is to stop domestic and sexual violence in our communities. RASM will support their programs by providing volunteers to help with the Amaz-ing Raise fundraiser on Saturday, October 12, 2019.
Habitat for Humanity Sarasota
Habitat Sarasota partners with families to help them acquire the skills and financial education necessary to be successful homeowners. By doing more than just building homes for families in need, we positively affect lives by revitalizing our community in Sarasota and building hope where, for many, hope was lost. In addition to donating $5,000 to support the new Hammock Place Community, RASM will also provide volunteers at several build days.
Manatee County Habitat for Humanity
The mission of MCHFH is to develop resources, educate and mobilize people to work alongside families in need, rehabilitating existing homes and building sustainable, affordable homes, thereby improving the quality of life for families and the community. In addition to donating $5,000, RASM will also provide volunteers at several build days.
If you know of an organization interested in getting involved in the RASM Gives Back Program, the Community Partner application is available for submission throughout the year. Visit myrasm.com/rasmgivesback to fill out the form to be considered for a community partnership.
