SARASOTA, Fla. (October 12, 2022) – The RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation (RRCF), which is the charitable arm of the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM), has committed to supporting families in Manatee County through a $10,000 donation to Manatee County Habitat for Humanity. For the past seven years, the Association has supported Manatee Habitat’s mission and through the Foundation, founded in 2020, the Association has doubled its usual financial support for a unique partnership in 2023.
The $10,000 grant will go toward Manatee Habitat’s 2023 Hometown Heroes Build and the home will be in their next 16-home community, Poling Gardens. The local family supported is among the first few homeowners that will move into this community.
The RRCF Board of Directors recently presented this donation to Manatee Habitat at the RASM North office located in Bradenton. In addition to the monetary contribution, the Realtor® Association of Sarasota and Manatee will also provide member volunteers to Manatee Habitat throughout the year.
“We are proud to support the Manatee County Habitat for Humanity and their continuous work to support the community,” said Alex Krumm, 2022 President of the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation and Broker Owner at NextHome Excellence. “As REALTORS®, we believe everyone should have a safe place to call home and a community to be proud of, which is why our members volunteer throughout the year to support the copacetic mission that we share.”
Both Realtors® and Manatee Habitat share the vision that everyone deserves a safe place to live. Manatee County Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical, volunteer-based organization with the mission to develop resources, educate and mobilize people to work alongside families in need, rehabilitating existing homes and building sustainable, affordable homes, thereby improving the quality of life in Manatee County.
The Realtor® Association of Sarasota and Manatee supports Manatee County Habitat for Humanity among other community organizations. As part of the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation, the Foundation’s Board of Directors approves housing-related grant recipients each year.
