Six Local REALTORS® Recognized with Emeritus Status

SARASOTA, Fla. (September 24, 2020) – Six local members from the Realtor® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) have been awarded with Realtor® Emeritus status in 2020, which is presented to those who have held membership in the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) as a Realtor®, Realtor-Associate® or both for a cumulative period of 40 years as well as one year of service with the National Association. The 2020 Emeritus members were announced during a live stream of RASM’s Annual Membership Meeting on September 23.

The following members from RASM have been awarded with Realtor® Emeritus status this year:

• Thomas Cinquegrano, Michael Saunders & Company
• David Coupland, Alliance Group Limited
• Vince Wall, Wall and Associates
• Alice Ohme, Wagner Realty
• Joan Oliszewski, Wagner Realty
• Linda Starcher, RE/MAX Alliance Group

In addition to their 40 cumulative years of membership, each recipient has also contributed at least one year of service to NAR. One year of service with the National Association is defined as serving as an NAR officer, director, committee member, Federal Political Coordinator, Global Ambassador, or Global Coordinator to a country with which NAR holds a reciprocal agreement. “On behalf of the Realtor® Association of Sarasota and Manatee, we extend our congratulations to the 2020 Emeritus Status recipients,” said David Clapp, 2020 President of RASM and a fellow Realtor® Emeritus member. “The Association is very fortunate to have local members who have remained dedicated and active through their more than 40 years of service to the real estate profession and community.” Not all real estate professionals are Realtors®.
