The Young Professionals Network (YPN) Donates $14,000 to Everyday Blessings Springboard Program

The Young Professionals Network (YPN) at the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) hosted a Celebrity Bartending fundraiser in June, raising $29,280 for two local charities. Fifty percent of the funds raised were donated to Everyday Blessings Springboard Program and the other fifty percent will support the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation, which is the charitable arm of RASM.

 

The $14,640 donation will support the mission of Everyday Blessings, Inc. and help assist foster children that age out of foster care, giving them the stepping stones needed to create their own positive, productive and independent lives. Everyday Blessings, Inc. provides independent living arrangements, real-world life skills, tutoring, mentoring, and therapeutic services that will provide self-sufficiency for these young adults.

 

“We are grateful for the support of local organizations who help support our mission. This donation will go directly towards our re-launch of Springboard SRQ,” said Richard Stroud, CEO of Everyday Blessings, Inc. “We will use these funds for furniture and other housing needs for our young adults. Any remaining money will go towards finding more housing for our aging-out foster care kids. Everyday Blessings Springboard Program strives to make sure that no young adult becomes a negative statistic.”

 

Both REALTORS® and Everyday Blessings, Inc. share the vision that everyone deserves a safe place to live. Everyday Blessings Springboard is an innovative program, designed to meet the many needs of young adults aged 18-22 who are participating in the Extended Foster Care Program.

 

The REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee supports Everyday Blessings, Inc. among other community organizations. As part of the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation, the Foundation’s Board of Directors approves housing-related grant recipients each year.
