REALTOR® Association Installs 2024 Officers and Directors

The REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) installed the 2024 officers and directors and recognized nine award winners at the Installation and Awards Banquet on December 7, 2023. Incoming President Tony Barrett, Broker/Owner at Barrett Realty Inc., will lead the Association in 2024.

During his speech, Barrett thanked outgoing President Brian Tresidder and volunteers for their past and continued service to the Association. As 2024 RASM President, Barrett’s primary commitment is to provide value and put members first. He shared the Association’s strategic goal to focus on core initiatives that support the Association, its members, and the community.

“This year, my theme is simple,” said Barrett. “Members first. It’s about looking at what we do every day and making sure it lines up with our mission, vision, strategic plan, and most importantly, supports our members.” The overarching theme of “Members First” entails a focus to ensure that every need is thoroughly met, particularly given the challenges the real estate industry is currently facing. Barrett emphasized the importance of proving the REALTOR® value to clients and members of the community, through professionalism, education, and a strong culture of service.

“While we undeniably find ourselves in challenging times, now is the moment to underscore the value of REALTORS®,” said Barrett. “It is imperative that we demonstrate our worth to the public, emphasizing the contributions we bring to the real estate landscape.” As the 2024 RASM President, Barrett will continue to inspire, urge collaboration, engagement, and a renewed focus on the needs of real estate professionals and their clients.

The newly installed officers are President Tony Barrett, Barrett Realty, Inc.; President-Elect Debi Reynolds, Florida SunCoast Real Estate; Vice President David Crawford, Catalist Realty; and Treasurer Anita Lambert, Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.

The directors serving in 2024 are Beth Beckert, Jessica Bow, Nathan Butrum, Pam Charron, Amy MacDougall, Rachel McCoy, Marcia McLaughlin, Julia Montei, Brian J. Partie, Derek Patti, and Brian Tresidder as the immediate past president.

Nine members were also recognized for their contributions and achievements in 2023. The following recipients were nominated and selected by their peers:
