The Young Professionals Network (YPN) Donates $1,600 to SPARCC

The Young Professionals Network (YPN) at the Realtor® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) hosted a Putt Putt Palooza fundraiser in May, raising $3,358 for two local charities. Fifty percent of the funds raised were donated to SPARCC and the other fifty percent will support the RASM Realtors® Charitable Foundation, which is the charitable arm of RASM.

The $1,679 donation will support the mission of SPARCC, Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center, which is to provide a safe haven and promote empowerment, awareness, and social change to end domestic and sexual violence. SPARCC extends beyond immediate crisis. They provide counseling, accompany survivors to hospitals and courtrooms, offer legal services, host support groups and conduct empowerment programs.

“The generous funding raised by YPN and their Putt Putt Palooza will go a long way in helping to provide hope, help, and healing to the survivors SPARCC serves,” said MaryEllen Mancini, Vice President of Philanthropy at SPARCC. “Having committed community partners, like RASM and YPN, is the catalyst for creating a community free from the grip of violence. We are very grateful for their gracious support of our mission.”

Both Realtors® and SPARCC share the vision that everyone deserves a safe place to live. SPARCC is an essential organization that is dedicated to providing safe shelter and resources to those in need.

The Realtor® Association of Sarasota and Manatee supports SPARCC, among other community organizations. As part of the RASM Realtors® Charitable Foundation, the Foundation’s Board of Directors approves housing-related grant recipients each year.

YPN would like to give a special thanks to the YPN Committee members who volunteered their time to help make this a success! YPN also thanks everyone who attended to show their support, the wonderful event sponsors, and Evie's on Bee Ridge for hosting us this year.
