RASM Community Outreach Committee Spreads Holiday Cheer with Salvation Army Bell Ringing

Posted by: Brandon Gay on Monday, December 8, 2025

The holiday season is all about giving back and this week members of the RASM Community Outreach Committee stepped up to make a meaningful impact in our community. On December 6, volunteers spent the day ringing bells for the Salvation Army at Detwiler’s Farm Market near IMG Academy. This is a beloved local tradition that brings joy, connection and support to families in need.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., our committee members rotated two hour shifts, greeting shoppers with smiles, warm wishes and plenty of holiday spirit. Whether it was the sound of jingling bells, friendly conversations or the simple act of showing up, REALTORS® helped spark generosity throughout the day.

“This time of year is about community, compassion and lending a hand,” said members of the Community Outreach Committee. “Bell ringing is a small act that makes a big difference and we are proud to support the Salvation Army’s mission to help local families during the holidays.”

Why This Tradition Matters

The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign is one of the organization’s most impactful annual fundraisers. It helps provide food, shelter and essential services to individuals and families throughout Manatee County. Every dollar dropped into the kettle goes directly toward programs that strengthen our region, from emergency housing and meals to youth initiatives and disaster relief.

By volunteering, RASM members continue to demonstrate the REALTOR® difference which is a commitment to service that extends far beyond the closing table.

A Huge Thank You to Our Volunteers

We are grateful to the Community Outreach Committee members who dedicated their time to this effort. Their enthusiasm helped create a positive experience for shoppers and made an important impact during one of the busiest giving seasons of the year.

Thank you as well to Detwiler’s Farm Market for hosting. Their partnership and high foot traffic always help make this event a success.
