The Learning Centered Instructor Workshop (LCIW) is the required first step for anyone interested in becoming a Florida Realtors® Instructor. Unlike traditional instructor training that focuses primarily on presentation skills, LCIW emphasizes creating meaningful learning experiences that improve student engagement, retention, and success.

Based on proven adult learning principles and educational research, this highly interactive, two-day workshop equips participants with the skills and techniques needed to become more effective instructors. Class size is intentionally limited to 20 participants to ensure personalized coaching and feedback.

Throughout the 16-hour workshop, participants will deliver three presentations, each followed by constructive feedback from facilitators and peers. One presentation is developed overnight as part of a practical homework assignment, allowing participants to immediately apply what they have learned.

During this workshop, participants will learn how to:

Deliver engaging and impactful presentations.
Facilitate classroom discussions and activities with confidence.
Effectively use storytelling and case studies to enhance learning.
Maximize the impact of PowerPoint and other visual aids without overwhelming learners.

Apply instructional techniques that increase knowledge retention.
Create an interactive, enjoyable, and learner-centered classroom experience.
Whether you are an experienced presenter or new to teaching, LCIW provides the foundation needed to develop the skills and confidence required to become a successful Florida Realtors® instructor. Successful completion of LCIW is a prerequisite for submitting a Florida Realtors® Instructor audition application.

The day before class, you will receive a digital copy of the course manual to print or download onto your electronic device to view during class. Should you require a printed copy of the manual, the association can provide one for a $20 printing fee.
