Helping Our Communities Fight Housing Insecurity

At RASM, we’re proud to support local non-profits working to expand homeownership and strengthen our communities.

Housing affordability remains a challenge across Florida, with nearly 40% of households cost burdened and more than 1.3 million families spending over half their income on housing.

Since 2020, the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation has donated more than $227,000 to organizations addressing housing insecurity, homelessness, and emergency shelter needs.

Community Grants

Over $227,000 donated since 2020

The RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation provides grants to local 501(c)(3) organizations supporting housing-related initiatives, including affordable housing, homelessness prevention, emergency shelter, and related community needs.

Applications open Friday, May 1, 2026.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, organizations must provide:

  • IRS determination letter confirming 501(c)(3) status
  • Most recent IRS Form 990
  • Program vs. administrative expense breakdown
  • Proof of at least 3 years of operation
  • Programs serving Sarasota or Manatee counties

Grant Timeline

May 1, 2026 – Grant applications open
June 5, 2026 – Grant applications close
August 2026 – Decisions announced
September 2026 – Grants payable
April 2027 – Midterm report due
September 2027 – Final report due

Beneficiaries

Approved organizations may be selected as beneficiaries of RASM fundraising events.

Once the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation (RRCF) has approved a housing-related 501(c)(3) organization, they become eligible to be considered for funding through RASM’s fundraising efforts. A list of approved charities is maintained and shared with RASM committees planning events.

Donations from RASM or RRCF fundraising activities are distributed from event net proceeds. 50% of proceeds support the RRCF general fund, with the remainder directed to the selected charity.
