SARASOTA, FL – Demonstrating the power of community in action, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay (RMHCTB) is excited to highlight the incredible volunteerism and community service shown by members of The REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM).Through this partnership, RASM volunteers are joining forces with RMHCTB to positively impact families by helping pack and distribute Meals on the Go (MOTG) – a vital program supporting families with children undergoing medical treatment.

At RMHCTB, our mission is to do more than just provide a house – we offer support, relief, and a sense of togetherness for families with children undergoing medical treatment. Many of these families are facing unimaginable stress, and something as simple as a meal can help alleviate some of their burdens. The Meals on the Go program is designed to do just that by providing shelf-stable, nutritious food care kits to families with their loved ones in hospitals.

In challenging times, community and unity matter more than ever. This month, members of RASM are coming together to pack and distribute MOTG kits to two key medical facilities: Sarasota Memorial Hospital (SMH) and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Outpatient Care Center. These meals offer more than just nutrition—they provide peace of mind, allowing families to remain focused on their children’s health without worrying about their next meal. Between 2023 and 2024 alone, RMHCTB has provided 444 MOTG kits and 95 Hope Bundles to families in the Sarasota and Manatee areas, reflecting our ongoing commitment to supporting families through every step of their medical journey.

"We are truly thankful for the support of The REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee. Their dedication to coming together in challenging times exemplifies the strength of our community, and their efforts are directly benefiting families who need support the most," said Lisa Suprenand, Chief Executive Officer at RMHCTB.

This partnership with RASM ensures that we can continue to meet the needs of families across the region. RASM’s commitment to serving their community is a shining example of how collective efforts can make a lasting difference. Their involvement in delivering meals is making a direct, positive impact on RMHC families, and is a testament to the strength and generosity of our community.
