One Platform for Commercial: MFCRE is Transitioning to Matrix

Stellar MLS has announced that MFCRE, the commercial MLS platform provided by Stellar, will be discontinued in June. Commercial listings and tools are moving into Matrix, the platform most of you already have available to you.

For the majority of our commercial members, this is a simplification. About 70 percent of RASM's MFCRE subscribers already subscribe to Matrix, which means one unified system and one subscription instead of two.

Stellar has spent the past year building out Matrix's commercial functionality so members can run their entire business from a single platform. The most recent release added 43 enhancements to commercial fields, and there are now 3,416 active commercial listings across Stellar's coverage area with more than 2,800 commercial users on the system.

Matrix also gives you access to residential listings that matter for commercial practice, including 3,432 homes with existing tenants and 1,520 duplexes, triplexes, and quadruplexes. Members get multiple data shares and Reciprocal Access Agreements that extend reach beyond Stellar's footprint.

What this means for you depends on your current setup:

• If you already subscribe to Matrix, nothing changes today. You will continue using Matrix with expanded commercial functionality and no added cost.
• If your brokerage subscribes to Matrix but you do not, you will automatically be subscribed to Matrix
• If your brokerage does not currently subscribe to Matrix, your broker has the option to enroll with Stellar MLS. Stellar staff can help walk your office through the options.
