The RASM Young Professionals Network (YPN), in collaboration with the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM), is proud to introduce the Class of 2025 for the sixth annual “REALTORS® to Watch Under 40” program.
As part of the Florida REALTORS® Clean Up Florida Waters initiative, RASM members rolled up their sleeves alongside Keep Manatee Beautiful and dozens of community volunteers to plant more than 12,000 sea oats across Anna Maria Island.
According to data from Florida REALTORS®, the housing market in Sarasota and Manatee counties continued to show signs of cooling in June 2025, with year-over-year declines in median sale prices across all property types and both counties.

At its Spring 2025 meetings, the Professional Standards Advisory Board approved changes to Standard of Practice 10-5 and Policy Statement 29, refining the definition of “harassment” and clarifying that Article 10 applies specifically to REALTORS® acting in a professional capacity.

The RASM Nominating Committee met on June 27, 2025, to interview candidates and selected the following nominees to serve as 2026 Officers and Directors. Election results will be announced at the Annual Meeting on September 18.

This year, the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation awarded $2,000 scholarships to 21 outstanding students pursuing higher education. According to data from Florida REALTORS®, the housing market in Sarasota and Manatee counties may be showing early signs of leveling off, particularly as the rapid pace of inventory growth begins to slow. While inventory levels remain elevated compared to last year, the month-over month increases have started to moderate, hinting at a potential stabilization. This shift could signal a more balanced environment ahead, where buyer demand and available supply begin to align more closely.
The REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) proudly participated in five impactful volunteer events during NAR’s REALTOR® Volunteer Days, held May 10–18. Organized by the RASM Community Outreach Committee, the weeklong initiative brought over 40 RASM members together to support local nonprofits and give back to the communities they serve.
Earlier this year, Manatee County introduced proposed regulations targeting short-term vacation rentals. At the Tuesday, May 6th Commission meeting, the Manatee County Commission chose not to move forward with the proposed regulations — a significant win for private property rights and responsible rental operators.
The housing markets in Sarasota and Manatee counties each showed their own unique trends, setting them apart from each other and from what’s happening in the rest of the country. Despite these differences, both counties maintained relative balance within the single-family home sector. A balanced market presents valuable opportunities for both buyers and sellers, fostering a healthier and more competitive real estate environment.

The Commercial Real Estate Alliance (CREA) of the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) recently hosted its highly anticipated annual Sporting Clays Tournament in March, raising an impressive $11,569.29 for two deserving local charities. This year, 50% of the proceeds were dedicated to The Salvation Army Sarasota, and the other half will directly benefit the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation, furthering its mission to support vital housing-related charitable organizations in the region.
